Abstrak: Hujan asam merupakan salah satu indikator penurunan kualitas udara yang umum terjadi di kota-kota besar. Prekusor hujan asam diantaranya adalah gas sulfur dioksida dan gas nitrogen dioksida, dan terdeposisi dalam deposisi basah. Di Bandung terjadi peningkatan emisi gas sulfur dioksida dan gas nitrogen dioksida yang dihasilkan oleh transportasi pada musim kemarau 2010 dan 2011. Air hujan dikumpulkan berdasarkan kejadian hujan dan dianalisis pH dan konsentrasi ion H+, kation (NH4+, Ca2+, Na+, Mg2+ dan K+) dan anion (SO42-, NO3-, Cl-). Variasi bulanan pH air hujan rata-rata tertimbang pada tahun 2010 lebih asam dibandingkan tahun 2011 yang lebih alkalin. Nilai pH air hujan tahun 2010 bervariasi 4,4-6,7 dan tahun 2011 bervariasi 4,9-7,5. Diantara kation, ion NH4+ memperlihatkan konsentrasi tinggi diikuti oleh ion-ion Ca2+, Na+, Mg2+ dan K+. Sedangkan diantara anion maka konsentrasi sulfat (SO42- )adalah maksimum diikuti nitrat (NO3-) dan chlor (Cl- ) untuk Cipedes dan nitrat adalah maksimum diikuti sulfat dan chlor untuk Jalan. Martadinata. Korelasi yang positif signifikan pada musim kemarau antara sulfat dan SO2 serta nitrat dan NO2 menunjukkan bahwa sumber sulfat dan nitrat dari aktivitas transportasi. Kajian mengindikasikan bahwa amonium (NH4+) dan kalsium (Ca2+) yang melimpah telah menurunkan keasaman yang berarti menaikkan nilai pH dari deposisi basah.

Abstract: Acid rain is one indicator of air quality degradation generally occurring in large cities. Acid rain precursors were gaseous sulfur dioxide (SO2) and nitrogen dioxide (NO2) produced by transportation during dry season in 2010 and 2011. Rainwater was collected based on rain occurrences and then chemical analysis was carried out on their pH, H+ ion concentrations, cation (NH4+, Ca2+, Na+, Mg2+ dan K+) and anion (SO42-, NO3-, Cl-). Analysis of monthly variation of rainwater pH weighted mean showed that rainwater condition in 2010 was more acid than that in 2011. Rainwater pH value in 2010 and 2011 were varied between 4.4-6.7 and 4.9-7.5, respectively. Among all cations studied, NH4+ion had the highest concentration followed by Ca2+, Na+, Mg2+ and K+ions. On the contrary, among all anions studied, sulphate (SO42-) had the highest concentration followed by nitrate (NO3-) and chloride (Cl- )for Cipedes and nitrate had the highest concentration followed by sulphate and chloride for Jalan. Martadinata. Significant positive correlation during dry season between sulphate and SO2 and also between nitrate and NO2 showed that sources of sulphate (SO42- ) and nitrate were transportation activities. Results of the study indicated that abundant amount of ammonium (NH4+) and calcium (Ca2+) had decreased acidity that lead to increase of pH value of wet deposition.
