Abstrak: Banjir, kekeringan, dan serangan hama penyakit setiap tahun selalu melandapertanian padi sawah di Indonesia. Bencana hidrometeorologi dan serangan hama penyakit tersebut dapat menurunkan produksi padi.Beras yang dihasilkan dari tanaman padi adalah makanan pokok sebagian besar penduduk Indonesia sehingga penurunan produksi padi dapat menjadi masalah nasional yang harus ada solusinya.Oleh karena itu berdasarkan latar belakang tersebut perlu dilakukan penelitian evaluasi tentangkeberlanjutan pertanian padi sawah pada iklim tropis Indonesia.Metode evaluasi yang digunakan adalah metode statistik dan scoring (pemberian bobot) terhadap 8 parameter yaitu potensi erosi dan longsor, kebutuhan air tanaman, efisiensi tanaman dalam pembentukan biomassa dari unsur hara, emisi gas rumah kaca, konsumsi bahan makanan per kapita, kebutuhan insektisida, kebutuhan obat-obatan pertanian, dan kebutuhan pupuk sintesis. Hasil analisis koefisien korelasi antara produksi dengan indeks iklim menunjukan bahwa pertanian padi sawah hanya dapat dilakukan dengan pola tanam dua kali musim tanam padi dalam setahun.Hal ini menunjukan bahwa varietas padi yang ditanam adalah varietas padi berumur panjang. Hasil analisis koefisien korelasi antara karakteristik varietas padi dengan produksi padi dan serangan hama juga menunjukan terdapat keselarasan antara umur varietas dengan produksi padi dan serangan hama penyakit.Hasil dari evaluasi bahwa pertanian padi sawah menghasilkan skoring nilai 13 yang berarti pertanian padi sawah tidak berlanjut.

Abstract: The flood, the drought, and the germs attack always became the customer every year agriculture of paddy-field rice in Indonesia. The disaster hydrometeorology and this germs attack could reduce the production of rice. The rice that was produced from rice was main food of most Indonesian inhabitants so as the decline in the production of rice could become the national problem available his solution. Because of that was based on this background must be carried out by the evaluation research about the continuity of agriculture of paddy-field rice in the tropical Indonesian climate. The evaluation method that was used was the statistical method and scoring (giving of the weight) towards 8 parameters that is the potential for the erosion and the landslide, the requirement for crop water, crop efficiency in the formation of the biomass from the element of the nutrient, greenhouse gases emissions, consumption of the foodstuff per capita, the requirement for insecticide, the requirement for the agricultural medicine, and the requirement for synthesis fertiliser. Results of the analysis of the correlation coefficient between the production and the climate index represent that agriculture of paddy-field rice could be only carried out and the planting system twice the season buried rice in a year. This represent that the variety of rice that was buried was the variety of rice be aged long. Results of the analysis of the correlation coefficient between the characteristics of the variety of rice and the production of rice and the pest attack also represent was gotten by the harmony between the age of the variety and the production of rice and the germs attack. Results of the evaluation that agriculture of paddy-field rice produced score is 13, it means the agriculture is not sustainable.
