Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui kemampuan bakteri Enterobacter sp. and konsorsium bakteri alami dalam mendegradasi limbah minyak nabati. Bakteri yang dijadikan agen bioremediator diisolasi dari hutan mangrove, Muara Kapuk, Jakarta. Percobaan menggunakan minyak goreng bekas dengan konsentrasi 200 mg/l dan 400 mg/l, dilakukan selama 6 hari. Adanya penambahan inokulan bakteri (Enterobacter sp.), telah meningkatkan jumlah koloni bakteri yang lebih besar bila dibandingkan dengan perlakuan tanpa inokulan bakteri. Perlakuan bakteri Enterobacter sp. pada media dengan konsentrasi minyak 200 ppm menurunkan minyak 33,87% dan menurunkan COD 56,14%. Perlakuan tanpa inokulan menurunkan minyak 23,28% dan menurunkan COD 75,43%. Pada media dengan konsentrasi minyak 400 ppm, perlakuan Enterobacter sp. menurunkan minyak 11,78% dan menaikkan COD 17,98%. Perlakuan tanpa inokulan menurunkan minyak 10,71% dan menurunkan COD 37,08%. Kemampuan bakteri Enterobacter sp. sebagai bioremediator pencemaran limbah minyak nabati tidak memberikan pengaruh yang berarti jika dibandingkan dengan perlakuan limbah minyak tanpa Enterobacter sp. yang berisi konsorsium bakteri alami.

Abstract: The aim of the research was to determine Enterobacter sp. and natural bacterial consortium in reduction of plant oil contamination. Bacterial isolate as bioremediator agent was isolated from mangrove forest, Muara Angke , Jakarta.  Used cooking oil was investigated in this experiment, with the concentration of 200 and 400 mg/l, lasting for 6 days. Bacterial inoculation (Enterobacter sp) increased higher bacterial colony  number than that without inoculation.  The result showed that Enterobacter sp. treatment in media with 200 ppm plant oil concentration decreased oil concentration of 33.87% and COD of 56.14%. Treatment without bacteria decreased oil concentration of 23.28% and COD of 75.44%. At media with 400 ppm plant oil concentration, Enterobacter sp treatment decreased oil concentration of 11.78% and increased COD of 17.98%. Treatment without inoculants decreased oil concentration of 10.71% and COD of 37.08%. Ability of Enterobacter sp. as bioremediator of plant oil contamination plant was not sharply different with those of without Enterobacter sp. treatment containing natural bacterial consortium.
